You'll also have a chance to tell media about your own unique founder story - how and why you started your business - along with supplying photos, videos, social media pages, and of course your website and contact details for any journalists that want to know more.

Completing the questionnaire is a positive and fun opportunity to tell your story so far and takes between 10 - 20 minutes to complete.

Who is FoundrPR?

What businesses can use Startup Watch?
To be eligible for Startup Watch businesses must meet the following criteria:
Less than 3 years old
Built or headquartered in New Zealand (you will need to provide a New Zealand business address)
Ready to provide an overview of their business and contact details to media for interviews or story opportunities
We also reserve the right to exclude businesses that we do not believe will be of sufficient interest to New Zealand media outlets. If this is the case, you will be refunded any Startup Watch fee you have paid in accordance with our Refund Policy below.
What news and media companies will our business be introduced to?
The 50+ journalists and editors in our network of New Zealand media professionals represent a wide range of newspapers, magazines, TV and radio and online media platforms. They include large news media companies such as NZME (publishers of NZ Herald, Business Desk and Newstalk ZB radio), Stuff (publishers of Stuff.co.nz and numerous regional newspapers), Radio New Zealand and TVNZ. Other business titles include NBR, NZ Entrepreneur, Idealog, NZBusiness and Caffeine. Depending on your industry you'll also reach key industry media and lifestyle magazines and platforms.
If I use Startup Watch, am I guaranteed to have a story published by media?
No. Like all PR and media outreach campaigns that rely on earned media coverage (as opposed to paid media coverage such as advertising), there is no guarantee that journalists will want to write a story about your business. This could be for any number of reasons depending on how many other stories they have on the go, what their editors are looking for at the time, or simply whether they are personally interested in your products or services. What we can guarantee is that your business will be introduced directly to our network of 50+ New Zealand journalists, editors and media platforms, in a way that is professional, comprehensive and efficient for all concerned, and that you will have a business profile published on NZ Entrepreneur. Do not use Startup Watch if you do not accept the risk that your business may not appear in other media channels. Will the information I provide about my business be edited before being shared with media?
No. In order to keep costs for Startup Watch users down, Startup Watch is a fully automated service. Your answers will be shared with media exactly as provided by you, and will not be proofread or edited by our staff. For this reason it is essential that you take all possible care to provide and to perform your own spelling and grammar checks before submitting your answers. FoundrPR and the Startup Watch service takes no responsibility for the quality or accuracy of the information submitted by you for distribution to media. Do not use Startup Watch if you are not 100% comfortable with providing your own information directly to media.
If I change my mind or don't like what I submitted to media via Startup Watch, can I retract, recall or correct the information I shared?
No. Once your information has been distributed to our media network there is no way to recall it. Do not use Startup Watch if you are not 100% comfortable with providing your information to media.
What is your refund policy for Startup Watch?
We will provide a refund for Startup Watch in the following situations:
If after purchasing Startup Watch you decide not to complete the Startup Watch questionnaire (in which case email media@foundrpr.com to request a refund). You will not be eligible for a refund, or be able to recall the distribution of your company information to media, if you have already completed the Startup Watch questionnaire.
If after purchasing Startup Watch we decide that your business does not meet our eligibility critera (in which case we will contact you by email to arrange a refund).
Do not use Startup Watch if you do not agree to our refund policy.
